National Conference
Annually, our officers attend the AIChE National Conference with students from other schools across the country. At the conference, various chapters share ideas and interact with other schools to improve their respective chapters. This year's conference will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah from 2nd - 5th November.
Regional Conference
Officers from several AIChE student chapters in the Texas-Louisiana area meet to share ideas at the Annual Regional Conference. Research projects as well as poster presentations are presented at this convention, and traditionally, our chapter has been one of the top performers in this region.
Plant Trips
Each semester AIChE organizes plant trips to a variety of different companies that employ chemical engineers. These plant trips provide an excellent opportunity for students to view actual equipment and experience situations that may have only been previously seen in their textbooks. Students are also presented with the wide range of professions that chemical engineers encounter.In the past, we have also visited Anheuser Busch (Budweiser) in Houston.
